We were dining on a wide porch while watching the clouds move across the blue sky when blackbirds swooped in for ripe cherries. It looked so good we ate a few ourselves. Cherry Thief is my woven interpretation in soft, durable fiber. The design updates ideas from American folk art with graphic boldness. Designed in New York’s Finger Lakes region by artist Wynn Yarrow, the coverlets are brought to fruition in North Carolina, where they are beautifully woven on jacquard looms. The technique creates a complementary color scheme on the reverse side.
