On a walk through meadows at the forest edge I saw wild raspberry brambles, goldenrod and blue eyed grass. Birds flew in and out, eating the sweet fruit. Raspberry Vine is my woven interpretation in soft, durable fiber. The design is inspired by the interlocking nature-based motifs of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts era. Designed in New York’s Finger Lakes region by artist Wynn Yarrow, the coverlets are brought to fruition in North Carolina, where they are beautifully woven on jacquard looms. The technique creates a complementary color scheme on the reverse side.
